I used the old BioPace chainrings back in the 90's and after seeing them come and go the oval ones came back on the market Shimano made oval rings called biopace back in the mid 80's they were replaced with "constant radius" chain rings.. The chainrings are CNC machined from 7075 T6 aluminum and hard coat industrially anodized to provide protection from mechanical impacts.
